Sunday & Monday 10 am - 4:30 pm
Tuesday & Wednesday CLOSED
Thursday - Saturday 12:45 - 8:15 pm

The Center closes on the long weekend of September  so schedule accordingly if you wish to complete your Walk Alberta in 2010.

Calgary Talisman YRE renovations

The Talisman is undergoing renovations. While these are underway there will be a change in the YRE Walk Box location.
To get to the temporary service desk, park your car as close to the North end of the parking lot as possible, then take the pathway LEFT, and follow beside the river a short distance to the SECOND entrance (# 2010 above the door). Inside, the service desk will be right in front of you. Please ask for the walk box there.

Group Year Rounds

Walk Alberta Program



The Walks Alberta booklet is free to all, and is designed to support the Volkssport Association of Alberta (VAA) program for walking with Alberta's Volkssport Clubs throughout the Province.

As you do a walk in each of the cities or towns designated, place the applicable IVV stamp in the appropriate location within the booklet.

NOTE: 2010 locations required: Banff, Barrhead, Beaumont, Calgary, Camrose, Canmore, Cardston, Cold Lake, Devon, Edmonton, Fort Saskatchewan, Fox Creek, Frank, Grande Cache, Grande Prairie, Hinton, Jasper, Leduc, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Millet, Morinville, Red Deer, Sherwood Park, St Albert, Stony Plain, Sylvan Lake, Waterton, Wetaskiwin, and William Switzer Park

There is no time limit to completion.
There are no extra costs or fees to enrol in this program, other than the normal event fees per walk.

Contact your Alberta Club President for a free booklet or contact the VAA (by email or Canada Post), and one will be mailed to you.
